1. What is Underground Fitness Revolution?
Underground Fitness Revolution specializes in 30-minute EXPRESS group metabolic workouts for busy men and women designed to get you in the best shape of your life regardless of your current fitness level. Our program includes top notch fitness instruction and motivational training while using a mix of “conventional” and “non-conventional” fitness tools and techniques including body-weight exercises, resistance bands, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, sandbags, battling ropes, sprinting, jumping, sleds and more!
2. When are Metabolic Workout Classes Offered? What Does Each Class Consist of?
Underground Fitness Revolution’s 30-minute EXPRESS group metabolic workout sessions run Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday with additional bonus or specialty classes (Beginner Boot Camp, Semi-Private Training, Weekend Warrior, etc.) on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as scheduled. We offer a convenient training location in the City of Alachua. Below is a list of our current training sessions:

Arrival Time: Each training instructor will arrive on location and open the doors 15 minutes before the official start of the workout. Members are expected to use this time to go through their own personal improvement routine. This is also time to discuss any questions, comments or concerns with the on-site trainer before the start of the workout.
Please know that our main focus is keeping our members safe and healthy. Thus, each class begins with a complete, state-of-the-art warm-up emphasizing mobility and activation to best prevent unwanted injury and to allow for a more effective workout. Thus, late arrivals will not be allowed to train without a proper warm-up. Members who are chronically tardy will be subject to membership suspension or termination on a case-by-case basis.
Departure Time: Each training instructor will remain for an extra 10-15 minutes following the completion of each 30-minute session to address any remaining personal questions or concerns.
Members are also highly encouraged to use this time to perform their post-workout routine consisting of corrective stretching and self-massage to best prevent nagging aches and pains and reduce soreness between workouts. However, this program caters to busy professionals, and we do understand if you need to leave immediately at the end of each workout. In this case, members are expected to perform their post-workout routines at another time for best results.
3. How Does the Two-Week Free Trial Process Work?
Underground Fitness Revolution is an invite-only membership program. We use the two-week tryout to assess if our program is the right long-term fit for each trial member. If you are invited to join our exclusive program, you will have the ability to choose from several membership options based on your current schedule and budget.
Tryouts are only offered within the first two weeks of each new phase of training for safety reasons and out of fairness to current members. All trial members must complete and submit an initial registration application and sign a waiver prior to the outlined registration deadline before each new phase of training.
Lastly, all interested trial members must attend a New Member Orientation and Grocery Store Tour. This orientation is meant to assess the current fitness level of each new trial member and answer any questions or concerns prior to the first workout of the new phase of training. Please refer to the Annual Training Calendar for more details.
4. How Do I Get Invited Into the Program?
During the two-week trial, we expect each trial member to attend AT LEAST five out of six (5/6) available workouts. This shows us that you are serious about getting results. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis if the on-site trainer is provided with advanced notice of an impending scheduling conflict.
However, attendance alone does not guarantee an invite to our program. We want to see that you are having fun and are bringing positive energy to the group. Complainers and whiners are NOT welcome!
Bottom line – if you make as many workouts as you can, work hard, and bring a positive mental attitude, you will put yourself in the best position to gain admittance to our program.
Note: If you have received a specific membership giveaway through a charity event or some other special promotion, the invite process will not apply until the end of this extended trial. Please make sure to hand in your special trial card with your initial registration form prior to New Member Orientation.
5. I Have Never Worked Out Before and/or I Have Injuries and/or I Am Extremely Overweight. Can I Still Join Underground Fitness Revolution?
Absolutely! No participant will be left behind or asked to complete more than they are capable of doing safely. It would be extremely irresponsible for us to do otherwise. We specialize in exercise modifications so that a beginner or advanced member can workout within their fitness level. There may be a rare case where this isn’t the best program for some people in their current state.
Underground Fitness Revolution specializes in providing challenging workouts for people at any level and at the same time. A 66-year-old with joint, knee or back issues can work side-by-side with a 26-year-old athlete in the same group and both will be challenged at their own fitness level.
We specialize in exercise modifications so that a beginner or advanced member can workout within their fitness level:
Level I – Beginner
Level II – Intermediate
Level III – Advanced
6. Will I Experience Muscle Soreness?
Yes. The initial phase of adding resistance training to your exercise program will cause muscle soreness. And because we change our training programs every four weeks to keep your body from adapting, you may experience new muscle soreness each time. To help with muscle soreness, we provide Self-Myofascial Release (SMR) and Corrective Stretching Strategies before (and after) every session as well as nutritional guidelines and pre- and post-workout supplementation recommendations to help your body recover from intense workouts.
7. How Soon Will I See Results?
Your results will vary based on your commitment to your training and nutrition program. In addition to not missing training sessions, you’ll need to follow a fat-burning nutritional plan to reach your goals. Members can feel great results in as short as one week and see visual changes within a few weeks. Many of our members lose 3-9 pounds and 1-4 inches in the first month. Some have lost more than 20lbs in less than three months and more than 40lbs in six months. In order to see maximal results, you will need to adhere to your nutritional program and attend all workouts.
8. Is There a Nutrition Program Involved?
Yes! The most important component of any fat-loss program is nutrition. We provide all members with our Rapid Fat Loss Underground Nutrition System. Our goal is not to overwhelm, but rather to ease you into adopting healthier dietary habits for long-term success. All trial members will receive a complimentary nutrition quick-start plan that will provide basic introductory nutrition guidelines to get the ball rolling in the right direction.
In addition, we provide a Grocery Store Tour prior to the start of each phase of training where we will provide you with the tools to get started on the right track toward a complete health and fitness transformation. We also provide you with a done-for-you 12-day fat-blasting meal plan and additional nutrition information to help you reach your goals. As an added bonus with membership, we provide FREE bonus workouts throughout the year.
9. Isn’t Steady-State Cardio Better for Fat Burning?
Research shows that steady-state cardio (aerobic training typically performed for 30 minutes or longer at a slow-to-moderate intensity) doesn’t burn as much body fat, doesn’t raise your metabolism after training and doesn’t build muscle mass or strength like metabolic resistance training.
Although steady-state cardio training can be a part of a general health and fitness program, it doesn’t provide the same benefits as metabolic resistance training or high-intensity interval training. In addition, without the components of nutrition and metabolic resistance training, you will not build lean muscle (which turns your body into a fat-burning machine).
We provide every member with metabolic-boosting training programs that don’t require traditional steady-state cardio (jogging, biking, stairclimber, elliptical, etc.). Our metabolic resistance training programs include all the cardio you’ll need to increase your metabolism, burn fat, build muscle AND remain healthy and fit.
10. Will I Get Enough Individual Attention During the Group Training Sessions?
Yes! Our small group training format allows us to get to know you and give more personal service unlike large bootcamps, gyms or health clubs that have many clients and treat you like a number. You will get all the motivation, guidance, instruction and support that you need.
We are ALWAYS here to answer any questions or concerns about anything related to your training, nutrition or supplementation. Most one-on-one personal training sessions consist of the trainer and client just spending most of the time talking about their personal lives and the trainer wastes even more time counting reps.
11. Will You Yell At Us?
Yes, there will be yelling involved – but only in a motivating and healthy manner. We don’t abuse, harass or degrade – we provide positive reinforcement and encouragement. And, of course, a few good jokes and fun.
12. What Do I Bring to Underground Fitness Revolution?
A positive attitude and a willingness to work hard and challenge yourself to get better each and every time you train. We provide all the equipment you’ll need for training. We recommend that you bring a towel and refillable water bottle (and shaker cup for your pre- and post-workout drink).

13. What Do I Wear to Underground Fitness Revolution?
Wear comfortable, soft, breathable materials. Avoid anything too big and baggy – it makes it difficult to properly analyze your posture and positioning during exercise so we can best assess your form and technique and make the necessary corrections. Wear athletic shoes like Nike Free, Vibram Five-Fingers or running shoes with soles that are low to the ground (no platform-like soles).
14. What If I Can’t Make a Group Metabolic Workout Training Session?
We will provide you with easy-to-follow workouts you can complete at home on “off” days, during our “recovery weeks” and when you are away on vacation. In addition, we provide FREE bonus workouts at least once per training phase for our members. These can be used to make up for a missed session or to get an additional fat-burning and metabolic effect.

15. I Notice You Bill Monthly, Can I Start in the Middle of a Month or Do I Have to Wait?
No, you cannot join in the middle of a session. All new members must attend a New Member Orientation before they can start their free two-week trial membership. We do this to keep you safe and to be fair to our current members.
We are sticklers for proper exercise technique, and that’s something we go over during New Member Orientation. This keeps you safe and allows you to transition seamlessly into the flow of our fitness program. We also go over the class format, what our expectations are of our members and have a Q&A session in addition to our Grocery Store Tour.
16. How is This Different Than Those Other Fitness Boot Camp Programs?
First and foremost, we have an indoor facility with a ton (literally) of equipment including kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, resistance bands, sleds, battling ropes and more. This is the biggest thing that separates Underground Fitness Revolution from the typical fitness boot camp that doesn’t use equipment and may only be held outdoors.
We provide our members with our Underground Member Handbook. This is a road map to your fat loss and fitness success. All you have to do is follow it. It includes our Rapid Fat Loss Underground Nutrition System, a 12-day fat-blasting meal plan, training information and a lot more! We also provide workouts that you can perform on your own with no equipment during our “recovery weeks” or when enjoying time off for vacation.
We offer FREE bonus workouts throughout each training phase to ensure you get the results you deserve.

17. How Often Can I Attend?
For the best results, we suggest that you attend three days a week. But you can still achieve incredible results with our two-day-per-week package. After all, two days is better than nothing. In addition, we offer a one-day-per-week package for those who travel or participate in sports or other physical activities that may limit their training availability. We also offer an at-home program that includes done-for-you audio and video files, a PDF of the workout and exercise progression levels so you can train anywhere and at anytime, and you also get TWO group workout sessions in our premium metabolic workout classes. 18. Can I Pay Per Workout or Just When I Come?
No. Underground Fitness Revolution is a monthly membership-based program and all group training classes require a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month minimum commitment with membership packages ranging from one, two, three, four or more times each week. The only exception to this is our Weekend Warrior classes (beginning this fall) – they are walk-in sessions and “punch card” workouts.
The fact of the matter is that you need and want to exercise consistently to get results, right? We’ve found that the second best motivator is knowing that you are consistently paying for your monthly membership. The best motivator is knowing that you’re going to have a ton of fun once you get here and meet your new friends for another life-changing training session!
19. What Else Do I Need to Know?
We conduct training classes in groups of up to 15 members. This allows us to get to know you and give more personal service unlike large boot camps, gyms or health clubs that have many clients and treat you like a number. We provide top notch fitness instruction and motivation to get you in your best shape ever. And unlike a traditional health club, you won’t experience intimidation, overcrowding and broken down equipment.
Each session typically lasts 30 minutes including a comprehensive warm-up. Groups consist of individuals of all levels and physical capabilities. Everyone works together to achieve huge gains for every individual.
Your professional fitness coaching and motivational training classes cost a third of the average personal training session.
Expected results in the first 30 days include: 3-5% reduction in body fat, greatly improved posture, better relaxation, 3-9 pounds of weight loss, 1-4 inch decrease in the midsection, improvement in endurance, increase in strength, and 100% gain in self-confidence!
20. Why Was My Session Canceled?
PLEASE NOTE: Occasionally we need to attend certifications and/or workshops over a long weekend. This is for the primary benefit of YOU. It allows us to stay ahead of the curve and deliver the highest possible service. During these times, classes may be canceled or rescheduled. These classes have been figured into the pricing of our monthly membership program.
We pride ourselves on being Fitness Professionals, not $8/hour trainers. In order to do this, we NEED to continue our education in order to make you better and get you faster results.
